Stephen Eccles

Stephen is a Partner and Head of our Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department, for both businesses and individuals.

Stephen qualified from Durham University in 1983 and attended Law School in the City of London, qualifying as a solicitor in 1986. He worked for a niche practice in Baker Street, W1 until 1992 when he moved to head the Litigation Department of a Kent based firm where he became a Partner.

Subsequently, Stephen joined Talfourds as a Partner in 1997, who merged to become Pinney Talfourd LLP in 2009.

He specialises in commercial, contractual and property disputes, but has a wealth of experience in other areas, notably professional negligence, joint venture agreements, contentious probate, and environmental protection.

Stephen is recommended for his commercial litigation work in Legal 500 which is widely regarded as offering the definitive judgement of law firm capabilities.

Stephen handles the firms most contentious work and has a reputation for getting excellent results. He is known for his "no-nonsense" approach and is regularly instructed by corporate clients who need problems resolved quickly and immediate answers provided.

His client base is comprised of PLC's, limited companies and high net individuals many of whom he has represented for a number of years.

Stephen represents clients in the High Court, County Court, Coroner's Courts and Tribunals. He balances an in depth knowledge of the law with an innate understanding of the commercial realities of business disputes to provide a first rate service to clients.

Stephen is a member of the London Solicitors Litigation Association, Property Litigators Association and Environmental Law Association.
