Michael Sheville

Michael is a Partner at the firm and a member of our Family Law Department.

Michael graduated from Hull University and was admitted as a solicitor in February 1995. Michael joined Prestons & Kerlys in 1998 becoming a partner in 2000. Pinney Talfourd LLP and Prestons & Kerlys merged in October 2011.

Michael practices all aspects of family law including divorce, separation, financial provision and cohabitation. Michael is particularly experienced in dealing with cases where there are issues of domestic violence. Michael is often available at short notice to deal with emergency applications such as non molestation and occupation orders.

He also has significant experience in child law including parental responsibility, contact, residence and leave to remove from the jurisdiction, as well as financial claims for children.

He is also experienced in high net worth ancillary relief particularly where there is a risk of asset dissipation.

Michael is a member of Resolution and a Resolution Accredited Specialist in Domestic Abuse and Advanced Financial Provision. He is also a member of the Law Society's Family Law Panel.
