Corbets Tey School students visit Pinney Talfourd to see their artwork on display
Hazel class of Corbets Tey School visited Pinney Talfourd LLP Solicitors this week to see their artwork proudly on display in the solicitor's Upminster office.
In December we teamed up with the children of Corbets Tey School in Upminster for our annual 'Design a Christmas Card' Competition 2011. Corbets Tey School is a specialist school in Upminster, catering for over 100 pupils with complex learning needs.
In what has become a tradition over the years, over 100 pupils produced a picture of their favourite Christmas scene in the hope of it becoming the cover image for Pinney Talfourd's Christmas card, seen by thousands of local residents, clients and colleagues.
Prizes were given to a number of students for their efforts and Kieran O'Hara, aged 12, of Hazel class was announced as the winner for his excellent reindeer picture.
The design was framed and unveiled as the latest addition to Pinney Talfourd's art collection this week, watched by a proud Kieran and his classmates.
The children battled through the snow to be welcomed by Catherine Polli, Client Care Partner at the firm and celebrated with cakes and juice. Catherine gave a short speech before unveiling the custom framed design, commenting;
"We have worked with Corbets Tey School for a number of years now and the students and teachers are always so passionate about this project. I am delighted that we can be involved with such a forward thinking school that help so many children with unique needs. It was delightful to meet some of the students and be able to give Kieran the recognition he deserves."
All prizes, along with a donation cheque to the school fund were presented during a school assembly in December.
